Early Monday morning Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Zachary Lee Snowden, 19, and Robert Manuel Rivera-Tubens, 20, both of Poinciana, for their involvement in an armed robbery.

The investigation began Sunday at about 6:18 p.m., when deputies responded to the Walgreens at 3769 Pleasant Hill Road, Poinciana. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who said she and her 3-year-old son were in their vehicle parked next to Walgreens waiting for a family member who was in the store when an unknown male, later identified as Snowden, approached her at gunpoint and demanded money. She gave Snowden her purse and he fled to a maroon vehicle and left the area traveling north on Pleasant Hill Road.

The suspects used the victim’s debit card at the Murphy USA gas station at 902 Cypress Parkway in Poinciana. The investigation led to Rivera-Tubens, of 3271 Cumberland Court, and Snowden, of 4123 Black Powder Way, and the recovery of a pellet gun and the victim’s purse.

Snowden and Rivera-Tubens were arrested and charged with armed robbery and petit theft. They were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
