Three Osceola County men were arrested and charged with grand theft and trespassing Dec. 31 after authorities caught them allegedly trying to take steel pipes from a St. Cloud construction site.

Arrested were: Donald Edward Brooms, 50, of 4120 Tucker Ave., St. Cloud; Jason Howard Albritton, 47, of 6070 Hickory Tree Road, St. Cloud; and Todd Michael Peters, 45, of 113 E. Ileen St., Kissimmee. They were all charged with grand theft and trespassing.

The investigation began Dec. 31 at approximately 11:19 a.m., when Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a construction site on Hickory Tree Road in St. Cloud. Upon arrival, deputies located the three suspects loading a trailer with large steel pipes. The suspects told deputies they had permission from the property owner to remove the pipes and sell them at a local scrap yard, Sheriff's Office reports said.

Deputies contacted the property management company who said no one had permission to be on the property, which had “no trespassing” signs posted. Brooms, Albritton and Peters were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
