St. Cloud Life 2012 to host three competitions March 3

The St. Cloud Greater Osceola Chamber of Commerce St. Cloud Life 2012 is inviting the community to take part in the Miss St. Cloud Pageant, St. Cloud Idol and Wing Wars Saturday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the St. Cloud Civic Center, Buildings A and B, 3001 17th Street, St. Cloud.
The competitions
Miss St. Cloud Pageant: It's tradition of empowering young women in St. Cloud to achieve personal and educational goals, while providing a forum to express opinions and intelligence. The contestants must be between the ages of 17-21, an essay is required and must reside in St. Cloud or Harmony. A $500 scholarship will be awarded by Account On Us and the the runner up will be awarded $250 by Kisselback Ford. The deadline for all entries is Feb. 24. The crowning of the 2012 Miss. St. Cloud Idol: It's a talent competition held outside in the Beer Fest area at St. Cloud Life and the winner will be announced at 2 p.m. The semi-finals begin Monday and Wednesday at the Clarion Resort and Water Park at 7 p.m. Finals will take place Feb. 29 at Royal St. Cloud Golf Course at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Jana Wood at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Eighth Annual Wing Wars: It's head-to-head competition as the judging begins for the best wing sauce in town. Challenge your friends, neighbors, co-workers with your special sauce. There is a $30 entry fee. There will be professional judges as well as a people’s choice award. Deadline for entries is Feb. 25. In addition, the chamber has a limited number of booths presently available. St. Cloud Life will offer chamber members, nonprofits and non-members the opportunity to network or promote their business.
