The Osceola County Sheriff's Office nabbed two Orlando men on burglary and grand theft charges after they allegedly broke into motel rooms and stole personal property.
After several months of investigating the case, which started in 2011, Sheriff's Office detectives arrested Clinton Joe McCarthren, 49, and Ricky Lee Collins, 46, both of Orlando. The investigation was conducted by the Tourist Policing Unit, Community Response Team West and Orange County Sheriff's Office detectives. During the investigation, detectives observed McCarthren and Collins break into motel rooms and steal personal property, Osceola Sheriff's Office reports said.
At Collins' home, detectives recovered 31 laptop computers, more than 10 digital cameras, cell phones, luggage and jewelry.
Collins, a licensed bail bond agent, was charged with criminal conspiracy, two counts of burglary and grand theft. McCarthren was charged with grand theft from a dwelling, two counts of unoccupied burglary, two counts of criminal mischief and grand theft.
The investigation is ongoing with additional charges pending.  McCarthren and Collins were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
