The Wycliff Discovery Center is an interactive exhibit that explores the amazing story of the Bible.

The center is located at the headquarters of Wycliffe USA off of Moss Park Road in the growing community of Lake Nona. At $8 or less per person, you can participate in the Discovery Center’s Vision Tour, which introduces guests to the work of Bible translation and gives them a rare glimpse into the lives and languages of people from all over the world.

Vision Tours occur every hour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. While there, you’ll see unique displays that demonstrate varying aspects of culture—such as international attire—but a multitude of other fun activities await the family, some of which include interactive media, games and even a simulated translation experience where you can write your name in other languages.

After the tour, visitors can investigate the Discovery Center on their own or participate in an “Explore More” scavenger hunt and delve a little deeper into Wycliffe’s work. You can to start your day with an early Vision Tour, followed by lunch in Wycliffe’s internationally-themed café. But give yourself ample time in between to peruse the Discovery Center’s Village Shop, which sells distinctive items from dozens of countries around the world.

After lunch, consider closing your day with a tour of the Discovery Center’s neighbor, The JESUS Film Project. Whether you are new to the area or a long-time area resident, a unique experience awaits you at The JESUS Film Studio Tour at Campus Crusade for Christ International’s headquarters. The JESUS film is a compelling docudrama about the life of Christ, based on the Gospel of Luke, and is the most translated film in history. Admission to the  45- to 60-minute journey is free (Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.), which explores the process of film dubbing.

During the tour, you will learn how the film has been translated into more than 1,100 languages using cutting-edge technology. You’ll marvel as you watch a guest’s voice being dubbed into the film’s soundtrack using sophisticated lip synchronization. This is a one-of-a-kind Central Florida experience that offers a quick look into different cultures, the intricacies of language and the complexities of recording.
