The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office nabbed 27 suspects last week on prostitution and drug-related charges during an undercover sting along U.S. Highway 192.

On May 24-25, Sheriff's Office deputies with the Community Response Team West conducted an undercover prostitution operation, which led to the arrest of 27 individuals for prostitution and drug related charges. The operation took place near the 4000 block of West U.S. Highway 192 in Kissimmee.

Various units with the Sheriff's Office including the Robbery Unit, West/South Criminal Investigations Property Crimes, Narcotics Enforcement Team, Tourist Policing Unit, Gang Unit, Child Abuse/Sex Crimes Unit, Persons Unit, Communications, Violent Crimes Unit, Evidence and Patrol participated in the two-day operation. The operation was a result of complaints from businesses of illegal activity in the area.

The suspects were from Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Poinciana, Tampa, Orlando, Haines City and Winter Park, but only five suspects were not Osceola County residents.
