The Amazing Spider-Man, a reboot of the franchise which originally featured Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, comes to theaters the Fourth of July weekend.

The truck tour is a joint project of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Walmart and Marvel Entertainment. The event will be held in the Walmart parking lot.

The complete schedule of activities:

• PlayStation3 gaming center with advanced demo of The Amazing Spider-Man video game from Activision available in stores on June 26.

• Demonstrations and giveaways of the new Spider-Man Bonkazonks toys and The Amazing Spider-Man Hero FX Masks from Hasbro

• HP photo center with free photo print to take home

• Sony Electronics screening center

• Temporary tattoo station

Activities will vary by location.

Other Walmart stores featuring the truck tour include Haines City on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and two Orlando locations, 3838 Semoran Blvd. and 11250 E. Colonial Drive. Both Orlando stops are on Friday.

The new Spider-man stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. The film also stars Rhys Ifans and Sally Field.

The plot of “The Amazing Spider-Man” once again has Peter Parker in high school but on a quest to discover the truth about his parents.
