Bright House Sports Network recently honored its Osceola County high school athletes of the year at its Breakfast of Champions at Falcons Fire Golf Club.

The selections were made by the county’s athletic directors, coaches and Bill Buchalter, who works for Bright House.

The Central Florida Sports Commission administered the awards on behalf of Bright House.

The Bright House Osceola County award winners are: Edwin Rios (baseball, OHS); Stefan Moody (boys basketball, PHS); Marie Gilbert (girls basketball, HHS); Quincy O’Connor (boys cross country, CHS); Octavia Gonzalez (girls cross country, SCHS); Taylor Ashcraft (flag football, HHS); Akim Francis (football defense, OHS); Stafon McCray (football offense, OHS); Tyler Howes (boys golf, HHS); Natalie Benetti (girls golf, CHS).

Also honored at the event: Felipe Oliveria (boys soccer, GHS); Kendall Pollock (girls soccer, HHS); Lauren Grego (girls tennis, HHS); Trevor Foshey (boys tennis, SCHS); Kenya Pereira (softball, OHS); Lucas Roberts (boys swimming, HHS); Katherine Davis (girls swimming, HHS); Daniel Foshee (boys track, HHS); Genesis Viera (volleyball, HHS); Michael Pierson (boys water polo, OHS).

Also: Morgan Johnson (cheerleading, CHS); Amber Hammock (girls water polo, OHS); Hans Schroeder (boys weightlifting, SCHS); Kelila Naules (girls track, LHS); Sarah Boroski (girls weightlifting, SCHS); Fox Baldwin (wrestling, OHS); Tim Locksmith (boys scholar athlete, OHS); Trinity Livingston (girls scholar athlete, SCHS).

Poinciana’s Mal Harpell was the athletic director of the year.
