The city of St. Cloud is a participant of one of the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board’s Water Savings Incentive Programs – the Toilet Rebate Program.

“The Toilet Rebate Program offers up to $145 to customers who replace existing high-flow toilets with WaterSense high-efficiency models,” said Interim Public Services Administrator Veronica Miller. “This incentive has been a great way to encourage homeowners to reduce indoor water usage and save money on their utility bills year-round. The program ends soon, but we still have funds available. We encourage our customers to apply as soon as possible.”

To apply, download an application packet from http://www.stcloud.org/index.aspx?nid=959 and call 407-957-7264 to receive a confirmation code that ensures funding is available. To receive the rebate, customers must return the completed application along with the receipt for the toilet and installation within 30 days.  Following the acceptance of the receipt, all required paperwork, and collection of the existing toilet, the city will provide a credit on the next OUC-The Reliable One utility bill.

The Toilet Rebate Program is for qualifying purchases made from Oct. 1, 2011 through July 1, 2012 (one rebate per household). The program is available to St. Cloud residential water customers who use city of St. Cloud businesses for the purchase and installation of a qualifying high-efficiency toilet. Existing toilets must be disposed of through the Solid Waste Division; details are provided in the application documentation.

For more details, call 407-957-7264. For a list of St. Cloud businesses selling the qualifying high-efficiency toilet, review the “frequently asked questions” document located at www.stcloud.org > Departments > Environmental Utilities > Toilet Rebate Program.
