Yay!
Another contest. With prizes.
And I am determined to win. Well I will at least submit an entry.
This would appear to be a cinch.

Chili’s is having a lunch break, get away from your  messy desk contest. Three 1st prize winners will get a $100 gift card from Chili’s. Five 2nd prize winners get a $50 gift card. And there will be ten 3rd place winners, each good for a $20 gift card.
Additionally, Chili’s will give away one random $20 gift every day through July 1.
Please direct you attention to my desk photo at Chili's Facebook page (photo Exhibit A. It’s my only exhibit, but the picture speaks volumes). Even the unemployed Taco Bell chihua, and his little stuffed bear friend are begging to escape the confines of my desk.
And can you blame them?
There are severed bloody  hands on both sides of  the friendly furry, twosome, including a floating severed finger. It is not a safe place for man nor beast, including those of the stuffed variety.
Fortunately, I’ve got mail in my mailbox, but it is not from AOL. “Thing,” from The Addams Family was once a resident in my mailbox, but he too threw up his hand in disgust and fled the premises. Plus the other severed body parts of my desk not once, shook his hand.
Not that I am encouraging competition, but you too can submit your own messy desk photo and have a chance to win swell prizes. All you have to do is “like” Chili’s on Facebook, and follow the instructions on photo submission.
Of course, if you don’t submit a photo, you can just sign onto your Facebook account right now and vote for my desk, once or twice. Pretend you are in Chicago.
Roadhouse Grill
The Kissimmee area is about to get another Roadhouse Grill.
Roadhouse, which has several locations in Central Florida, specializes in steaks, cold beer and bottomless buckets of peanuts. The new Roadhouse is at 8207 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.
The Nashville-based restaurant chain was inspired by the classic roadhouse from days past.
“Our team searches the country for the best restaurant sites, and we’re excited about opening our eighth location in the Orlando area,” said Tom Vogel, president and chief executive officer of Logan’s Roadhouse.  “We see a lot of opportunity in this neighborhood.  We plan to be a valuable part of the community by bringing to Kissimmee where guests will feel comfortable and enjoy high quality steaks in a kickin’, upbeat atmosphere, all at a great price.”
The moderately priced menu features more than 30 entrees including aged steaks hand-cut fresh on the premises, grilled chicken, fresh ground steak burgers, baby back ribs, seafood and specialty salads..
The 6,505 square-foot restaurant in Kissimmee will seat 237 guests and is reminiscent of American roadhouses of the past, complete with neon signs and an interactive jukebox. The restaurant will be the company’s eighth location in the Orlando area.
The new Logan’s Roadhouse will employ approximately 130 area residents. More information about Logan’s Roadhouse can be found at www.logansroadhouse.com.
Headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., Logan’s Roadhouse, Inc. presently runs more than 220 company-operated and 26 franchised Logan’s Roadhouse restaurants in 23 states.
Bojangles
Osceola County got its first Bojangles restaurant (in St. Cloud) earlier this year.
But if your craving for chicken and biscuits is strong enough, the newest Bojangles in Winter Garden opens Tuesday and the first 100 dine-in guests (yes, another contest kind of) receive $25 gift cards. The new location is at 3331 Daniels Road.
Food trucks
Attention food truck enthusiasts.  The next edition of Food Truck Crazy is at Oviedo Mall July 8 from 4-8 p.m. There are more food trucks at a food truck war, plus you can vote for your favorites. Lawn chairs are suggested. The food trucks also return to downtown Kissimee this Friday in front of the Kissimmee Civic Center. Hours for the Kissimmee trucks are 5:30-8:30 p.m. The event usually attracts 10-12 food trucks.
