The St. Cloud Police Department arrested and charged a suspect in a March armed robbery of a local convenience store.

Cody Lee White was positively identified as one of the suspects in the armed robbery of the Kwik Stop gas station, 719 13^th St., St. Cloud. He has been arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery and assault with firearm, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony and grand theft. White is currently incarcerated at the Osceola County Jail; his charges also include premeditated murder (unrelated charges from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office).

On March 5, members of the St. Cloud Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Kwik Stop. The store clerk and witnesses on scene told police officers that two white males, wearing bandanas over their faces, entered the store, and pointed a gun at the clerk. One of the suspects then jumped over the counter, while the other suspect walked around the counter, and began to punch the clerk repeatedly. Additionally, one of the suspects struck the clerk over the head with a gun and then turned and pointed the gun at two customers who were attempting to enter the store. Both suspects forced the clerk to open the register. The suspects stole $300 in cash, two cartons of cigarettes, the clerk’s cellphone, keys to his vehicle and the store. The suspects then fled the scene on foot.

The second suspect still remains at large; therefore, the investigation is still ongoing.
