Writer With the new school year starting in four weeks, it’s time to ask, “Has my teen had an empowering summer yet?”.

Motivational speaker Marc Mero will present “Choices” Friday, July 27, at  7 p.m. at Living Water Fellowship, 4101 Pleasant Hill Road.

Mero is one of the most requested school presenter along with his “Champion of Choice” program, empowering people to make positive choices.

Mero is a former WWE and WCW wrestling champion, but those are not the reasons why he stands out as a speaker. The stories he shares with his audience are of his personal struggles to overcome obstacles. Those stories engage his target audience, middle and high school students.

The “Choice” presentation focuses on timely challenges faced by students. This hour-long presentation shares Mero’s candid and powerful message to make meaningful choices that do not block your goals. Teens will be challenged to review how they see themselves and others to help realize they are not alone.

Ultimately, Mero hopes to give students confidence, His phrase “champions make choices and choices make champions” empowers students to make positive choices.

This message may be the best souvenir of your child’s summer of 2012.
