COLLINS - Walter “Tom Collins, 70, of Kenansville, passed away Saturday, September 27th in Green Cove Springs.   He was the owner of Tom Collins and Son Dragline, Inc., a land clearing and Excavation Company.
Born in Kissimmee to Isaac Howard and Agnes Cola Lanier Collins, Mr. Collins was a member of a pioneer family and a lifelong resident of Osceola County.  He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Kenansville.  
He is survived by his loving family; wife, Esther Collins; son, Keith Collins (Cheryl) both of Kenansville; daughter, Annette Gay (Norman) of St. Augustine, FL;  sisters, Betty Lou Bryant of Kissimmee, Virginia McDowell (Walt) of Union, MO,  Murlene Lundy (Wendell) of Bimble, KY; brothers, Donald Collins (Sandra)  of Kenansville, Freddy Collins (Cindy) of McAlpin, FL;   grandchildren, Justin Stubbs (Nikki) , Tamra Collins, Christyn Ross (Talian) and Amanda Gay;  great grandchildren, Serena  and Brandon Stubbs.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday October 2nd at 2:00 PM at First Missionary Baptist Church of Kenansville with Pastors James Madison,  Charles Colburn and David Beecher officiating. Interment will follow in Kenansville Cemetery. The family will received friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 1st in the funeral home chapel.

JENNINGS - Mrs. Virginia Ruth Leonard Jennings, age 83, of St. Cloud, FL, passed away Oct. 2 in Plantation Bay Nursing Home in St. Cloud. 
Mrs. Jennings was born in Carroll County, VA and moved to Florida in 1972. She retired from Moody Keswick Bible Institute in St. Petersburg, FL in 1992 and moved to St. Cloud. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Kissimmee.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James E. Jennings of St. Cloud, son Robert D. Jennings, Sr. of St. Cloud, daughter Bonnie L. Tidmore (Billy) of Orlando, grandson Robert D. Jennings, Jr. (Summer) of Sanford, and great granddaughter Sophia. 
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 6, at 10:00 AM in Chapel of Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee with Rev. Joe Williams officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel of Light Mausoleum in Osceola Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to Hospice of Comforter, 480 West Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.

KRAMER - Conrad G. Kramer, 90, of St. Cloud, passed away Monday, September 22, 2008 at Saint Cloud Regional Medical Center.
Conrad was born in Reading, PA and moved to St. Cloud in 1975. He was a retired truck driver. He also drove a bus for Aldersgate, which is now Good Samaritan.
He is survived by his daughter Betsy of St. Cloud, son Conrad G., Jr. of Ocean City, MD, grandson Daniel Kramer of Buxton, NC, granddaughter Holly Raphaelson of Plantation, FL, and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice in 1994.
Interment will be in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading, PA.

SCAVONE - Raymond Joseph Scavone, 66, of Gainesville died Saturday, September 27, 2008.
He was born to the late Angelo and Katherine Scavone January 2, 1942, in Newark, NJ.  Ray and his family relocated to Kissimmee, Florida in 1980.  He eventually moved to Gainesville, Florida to be closer to his daughter, Michele Scavone Stone and his son-in-law, Andy Stone.  Ray graduated from Bloomfield High School in New Jersey and was an excellent football player.  He was to play college football in Kansas until a tragic car accident impaired his ability to continue to play.  He held many occupations throughout his lifetime.  However, he was the most successful at creating a family and friendships which reach around the world.  Ray was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church, Gainesville, Florida.  He had an excellent sense of adventure and was known for his “mystery rides” with his children, nieces and nephews.
Ray is survived by his best friend, Joanne Scavone and their two children Michele Scavone Stone and Raymond Joseph Scavone, Jr.  He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Celeste Scavone of St. Cloud, Florida, his son-in-law Andy Stone of Gainesville, Florida and his five grandsons: Raymond, Christopher, Nicholas, Andrew and Sam.  He is also survived by his brother Michael Scavone of Kissimmee, Florida and sister Diane Scavone of Pt Pleasant, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the Special Olympics or the National Down Syndrome Society.

STARK - Marion Jane Stark, 86, of Kissimmee, passed away on September 28, 2008.
Marion was born in Miami, FL and raised in Chicago, IL.  Marion returned to Miami, where she met her husband Howard Stark, whom she married in 1941, and shared her life with until his passing in March of 2006.
Marion was a member of the Church of Christ in Kissimmee and of the Kissimmee Squares square dancing club for several years.  For over thirty years, Marion was a beautician at the Charm Beauty Salon in Kissimmee.
She is survived by her loving son Kenneth H. Stark (Anita) and their children Lacey and Lance, her loving daughter Nancy Miller (Donald) and their children Jennifer and Marcus and her brother Robert Hilgoe.  Marion is preceded in death by her brother Vernon Hilgoe.
A viewing was held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, October 3 at Grissom Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 4 at 2:00 PM in the Grissom Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Rose Hill cemetery in Kissimmee.

SWILLEY - Mary Sawyer Swilley peacefully went to be with the Lord Sept. 26, 2008.  Mary, a third generation Floridian, was born in Palatka, FL on Nov. 5, 1916 to Ralph and Elizabeth Sawyer.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert and Emily Eville.
Mary studied ballet and acrobatics most of her childhood and taught dancing for many years. After raising eight children, Mary entered college, graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in early childhood education. She taught school in Osceola County, FL for 16 years and served on the Boards of the Central and Northeast FL Retired Educators Associations.   In retirement Mary and her husband relocated to Panama City Beach, FL, where they were founding members of the Sunnyside Baptist Church. Mary supported her community as County Director and Troop Leader of Girl Scouts, Sunday school teacher as well as other community volunteer organizations. Her hobbies included gardening and sewing.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, William G. Swilley, Sr. and daughter and son-in-law Jane (Swilley) and Ray Ettel, and her sister Elizabeth Sawyer Pert. She is survived by sons, William G. Swilley, Jr., of Chamblee, GA, John W. Swilley Sr. of San Mateo, FL, James Eville Swilley of Kissimmee, FL, daughters Frances Thomas  of Palatka, FL, Marianne Broadbear of Atlanta, GA, Claudys Brown, Chaparral of NM, Catherine Hafer of Roswell, GA, 17 Grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 greatgreat grandchildren.
