Aureliano Tapia-Chavez, 29, of Kissimmee, was arrested Monday for trafficking cocaine after authorities found 75 individually wrapped bags of cocaine, as well as stolen electronic equipment, in a shed he owns.

Tapia-Chavez told Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies that he trades equipment and jewelry for the cocaine. Deputies searched his shed while investigating a report of a stolen laptop. They met with a resident at 4776 Rio Court, Kissimmee, at around 1:15 a.m. Monday, who told deputies that his friend owns the shed.

After obtaining permission to search the shed from Tapia-Chavez, they found the stolen laptop, as well as 67 grams of cocaine. Other electronic equipment also was found.

Tapia-Chavez, of 2402 W. Roble Drive, said he was unsure whether the electronic equipment or jewelry was stolen. Along with the trafficking charge, he faces a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
