Lady Bulldog Fans

Fans of the St. Cloud High School Lady Bulldogs basketball team came equipped to cheer Monday night as the team matched up against county rival Gateway High School. Kissimmee man dies in crash
A 25-year-old man died Wednesday night after he lost control of his pickup truck on South Pleasant Hill Road near Bellalago Drive in Kissimmee.
According to police, Christopher Cotton, of Kiss-immee, was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the 2000 Ford F150 as the truck overturned several times after it crossed from the southbound to the northbound lanes. The vehicle came to a stop upright on the east shoulder of South Pleasant Hill Road.
An investigation is continuing.
Lanes to close for line repair
The City of Kissimmee Public Works and Engineering Department is announcing the schedule of lane closures for repair of stormwater drainage pipes by State Contractor DBI Services.
Crews will be doing video investigation on Vine Street at Central Avenue on Nov. 29 from 6 to 10 p.m. on Vine Street at Central Avenue. The right eastbound lane will be closed for short durations.
Crews will be working on John Young Parkway at Hughey Street Monday starting at 8 p.m. and lasting until 11:59 p.m. The right northbound lane of John Young will be closed and no access will be available to and from Hughey Street.
Crews will be working on John Young Parkway at Hughey Street Tuesday starting at midnight and lasting until 5 a.m. The right southbound lane of John Young will be closed and no access will be available to and from Hughey Street.
Crews will be repairing pipes on John Young Parkway at Hughey Street Tuesday starting at 11 p.m. and lasting until Wednesday at 6 a.m. The right southbound lane of John Young will be closed and no access will be available to and from Hughey Street.
Crews will be repairing pipes on John Young Parkway at Hughey Street Wednesday starting at 8 p.m. until Thursday at 5 a.m. The right northbound lane of John Young will be closed and no access will be available to and from Hughey Street.
Hughey Street will be marked with proper detour signs.
Roadwork to close Lakeshore Boulevard
The City of Kissimmee and Burkhardt Construction are announcing the closure of Lakeshore Boulevard at Clyde Avenue and Clay Street due to ongoing road construction in the Kissimmee Lakefront Park. Access will be for emergency services only.
Lakeshore Boulevard also will be closed to through traffic at Ruby Avenue due to road construction. Access will be for the boat ramp, park, bait and tackle shop, and emergency services. The work is scheduled to begin Monday at 7 a.m.
The closures will remain until completion of the project.
