A South Florida man was arrested in Kissimmee Saturday in connection with an Amber Alert issued for his son and a domestic violence incident involving his live-in girlfriend.

Eduardo Juliao, 43, of Hollywood, allegedly kidnapped his 4-year-old son, Angel Juliao, Saturday evening after allegedly attacking Nanchesa Colon, 28, the boy's mother, with a knife, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to her face.

According to Lt. Manny Marino, of the Hollywood Police Department, the incident began as a domestic violence dispute but intensified after Juliao allegedly threatened his son's life.

Juliao then fled Broward County with his son in his green BMW to his mother's home in the 1500 block of Trumbull Street, Kissimmee, where Kissimmee police, as advised by Hollywood authorities, found him and the boy just after 11 p.m. Saturday.

According to the KPD arrest report, police surrounded the house with guns drawn and called the residence, asking for Juliao's mother. An unidentified male answered and said she no longer lived there, and then hung up.

Shortly afterward, Juliao attempted to leave the house with the boy and was confronted by police. He was arrested and Angel was safely retrieved.
