I think I am having a Dr. Malcolm moment.

It is nearly 1 a.m. and all is quiet on the inaugural christening voyage aboard the Disney Dream, but that glass of water sitting by the nightstand in my stateroom looks a bit reminiscent of the quaking water set off by the giant footfalls of a T-Rex stomping nearby in Jurassic Park.

To be sure, the water vibrating in my water glass looks more like it might have been set in motion by the Geico lizard rather than a Tyrannosaurus Rex, but late at night, prone on the bed, i can feel the power of the Atlantic Ocean, even on a ship the size of the Disney Dream.

The internet is a sometimes thing on board a ship. No wonder the Titantic sunk with all the lack of communication.

After spending a considerable amount of time writing  after midnight last night,  it was all for naught. All that was salvaged was my Dr. Malcolm moment. No Jennifer Hudson. No Mickey and fireworks. No giant champagne bottle. No tales of going without luggage all day.

But now that is it after 10 a.m., we have had breakfast and the island beckons, it is the dawning of a new day.

It is time to post before the internet once again, abandons ship.
