New college to hold grand opening

Florida Technical College Kissimmee will have its grand opening Thursday, March 31, at 5 p.m. The new college will be at 3831 W. Vine St., Suite 50, Kissimmee.
Florida Technical College is an educational institution under the Eduk Group, a family of four post-secondary institutions with more than 30 branches in the United States and Puerto Rico. The college’s Florida campuses include those in DeLand, Orlando and Lakeland.
The honored guest at the event will be salsa legend Andy Montañez. Other officials at the grand opening will include David Ruggieri, college COO and president and Wallace Pond, CEO of the Eduk Group. The group was founded in 1982 to provide post-secondary education in specialized fields.
