It sounds like this deal was already in place and the time and money was wasted in misleading Osceola residents. Dr Wayne Blanton must wonder why he was contacted 2 months ago if his opinion would be laughed at by the board. Mr. Andrews might do a good job but he didn't even apply for the job yet it was handed to him without a review of the 5 candidates submitted by a board formed back on March 15.

The statement that Cindy Hartig would lead contract negotiations and is confident that he will cost less than an outsider smells like a rat. It is obvious by that comment that a predetermination had been made as to this situation. Why was there a timeline set with a June 7 date set for the selection and released to the public if it was not to be followed.

While the Superintendent job is not elected the other board positions are and if the citizens have been paying attention to these shenanigans there might be an entire new board in the future. I am only glad that my son graduated with honors and an AA from valencia under Dr. Gregos administration, for that I can be thankful.
