Trinity Lutheran Church and School of Kissimmee, 3016 W. Vine St., Kissimmee,  presented $700 college scholarships to three members of the congregation on Pentecost Sunday, June 12.
The scholarship fund was established in 2004 in honor of the retirement of school's pastor of 28 years, and his wife, a career educator.
Applicants to the Pastor Pete and Judy Zieg Scholarship Fund must be pursuing a career in ministry, teaching, social work or community service.
Recipients for 2011 are: Justina Holstrum, enrolled at Valencia College with a goal of teaching special education students; Samantha Hoin, enrolled at Valencia College with a career goal in political science and education; and Kristen Miller, in her second year at the Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences on her way to becoming as registered nurse.
