The 40th annual board meeting of the Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) was held on Feb. 12 at the Poinciana Community Center.

Valentin Ramos, former assistant manager of APV, addressed the board and thanked them for allowing him to present an option to Poinciana’s existing form of government.

Even with good grades, an impressive amount of extracurricular and community involvement and the work ethic to make it in college, some high-schoolers see places of higher learning as a place in the clouds where other people go, no matter how worthy they themselves might be.

The following classes are hosted by the University of Florida/Osceola County Extension Services office and are free unless stated otherwise.

Alma Schonfeld Breen, was born in Germany in 1903. She immigrated to the USA in 1924 and entered through the Port of New York. She met and married John J. Breen in NYC about 1924 and lived in the area of Jamaica, Queens County, N.Y. She died April 1967 and was survived by the following :
