Osceola County may take back an ownership interest in a building it helped pay to construct five years ago for the Children’s Advocacy Center.

The Osceola County School District is gearing up to challenge students in a whole new way by implementing tougher education standards and replacing the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test.

The  Kissimmee Downtown Redevelopment Agency is looking for input from area residents, property owners and businesses to plan phase II of pedestrian and street  improvements through three workshops.

Groups or organizations wishing to request a fee waiver/grant for any event to between Oct. 1, 2013  and Sept. 30, 2014 must submit a fee waiver/grant application for consideration.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch for portions of central and southern Florida, including Osceola County, until 8 p.m. this evening. Citizens should be way of possible tornadoes, 1.5 inch diameter hail, wind gusts of up to 70 mph within strong cells and dangerous lightning.
