Bright House adds local channels, premium channels to iPad Bright House TV app PDF Print E-mail

If you have an iPad and are a Bright House customer, your iPad just got more useful.

Bright House Networks just  announced that it has added local Florida channels and premium networks to the programming lineup on the Bright House TV App.  The app, which allows viewers to watch live streaming television anywhere within their homes, is available for download to Bright House Networks customers at no additional charge.

From the manatee to the dolphin and the marine turtle, the spotlight will be on some of Florida’s favorite native animals at the Brevard Zoo  in June

The zoo will host its annual Conservation Conversations, sponsored by Florida Power and Light Company, every Wednesday  during the month.

This year’s theme is “Sea” the Change: Saving Florida’s Natural Treasures and includes guest speakers Dr. Llew Ehrhart, Ken Nedimyer, Ann Spellman, and Dr. Randall Wells. Each event begins at 6 p.m. in the Nyami Nyami River Lodge at Brevard Zoo. There is no cost to attend any of the Conservation Conversations events.

Anything Goes at the Osceola Center for the Arts next season.

The classic Cole Porter 1934 musical introduced the songs “Anything Goes”, “You’re the Top”, and “I Get a Kick Out of You and it is one of 6 musicals and plays coming to the center for the 2012-13 Broadway Series.

Discovery Cove is a fun day, but it is pricy.

SeaWorld Orlando just made the day of swimming with dolphins and more a bit easier on the pocketbook. Effective immediately, a day at Discovery Cove now includes unlimited admission to SeaWorld and Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park.

When I mentioned earlier this week that I was a going to an advanced  press screening for Men in Black 3 in Orlando there was kind of collective  “Why are they making another one of those?” response in the newsroom.

I pretty much concurred. The first film with its crazed assortment of aliens was creative and fun. Men in Black 2 was about as necessary as a three-hour musical starring Jersey Shore’s Snooki.

The annual special event returns every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through June 10 with more than 60 Star Wars characters from the films and the animated TV series.
