NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex marked yet another major milestone this week in the construction of its 90,000-square-foot, $100 million home for space shuttle Atlantis by announcing the official name and visual identity for the exhibit, as well as the grand opening date of June 29.

Rockin’ the Midway at the The Funshine Music Festival comes to the fairgrounds May 3-5 with more than 30 bands on six stages including the Tampa Amphitheater.

Probably the biggest compliment I can give to any movie is,  I would pay to go see it.

Tacos and lobsters will be on the menu as two new diverse dining  establishments come to Central Florida in March.

Chuy’s, a popular Mexican restaurant chain based in Austin, Tx. opens its first Central Florida restaurant in Kissimmee in a few weeks, while Sea Dog Brewing Company, a Maine brew pub with restaurants in Portland and Bangor, opens a second Florida location off of International Drive.

Will Argo spoil the Academy Awards biggest night?

It didn’t seem like that big a snub when Ben Affleck was left off the list of Best Directors last month when the Academy announced its list of nominees. After all, there are nine Best Pictures, but only five directors.

But then something unexpected happened. Argo began winning many of the other film awards, and along with it Affleck was winning best director as well.
