The City of St. Cloud will hold a public workshop on Monday, Feb. 19 at 5 p.m. at the City Hall Council chambers (third floor) to get input on 5th Street Corridor Study. The Public Works Department recently completed its own study on 5th between Brown Chapel Road and Mississippi Avenue to explore making it an uninterrupted east/west corridor. At this workshop, staff will discuss the findings and gather traffic comments from the public. Let your comments be heard, and hear what the city has to say.

The City of St. Cloud will host Rodeo Day Camp on Friday, Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Early drop-off starts at 7 a.m. and late pick-up until 6 p.m. This is for ages 5 to 12 (proof of kindergarten required). The fee is $30 for City residents, $40 for non-residents. Register online at https://webtrac. stcloudfl.gov.

 

The Women’s Club of St. Cloud presents Curiosities & Oddities Show on Saturday, Feb. 17. Take a peek at some rare collections – some odd and some simply fun. There will be everything from award winning button collections to Lionel train sets. The entire family will enjoy this free show.

This event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Women’s Club of St. Cloud, 1014 Massachusetts Ave.

 

On Feb. 18, the next Harmony’s Farmers Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Harmony Town Square. Vendors include fresh produce, spices, plants, candles, jewelry, crafts, body care, baked goods, clothing, dog items, nutrition, customized items, food trucks and more.

Also that day, the Black History Festival in downtown St. Cloud (818 Pennsylvania Ave.), presented by Granny’s Southern Smokehouse, will be held on from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a variety of vendors that highlight the Black voices and community within St. Cloud and surrounding areas. This is their first Black History Festival and is a family friendly event. There will be live entertainment, food trucks, car show in addition to the vendors. There will also be a kid’s zone.

 

The City of St. Cloud presents A Community Day of Love to honor Black History Month on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 12-4 p.m. at Hopkins Park (620 E. 17th St.). This family friendly event features food, music, games and fun.

 

The City of St. Cloud is updating the Strategic Plan and is looking for input from the community.  The City is updating its Five-Year Strategic Plan.  The update will include a City Vision, Mission, Organizational Values, Strategic priorities and strategic goals. 

The Community Vision session takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cannery Building (901 Virginia Ave.)

The first public workshop for the Osceola County Vision Zero Action Plan will be on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Cloud Community Center.  This Vision Zero Action Plan is being created to address traffic, deaths and serious injuries in our community and will identify high injury locations, educational programs and safety projects that can help make roads in Osceola safer.
