Pinktoberfest 2023 takes place on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Cloud Lakefront Park. This inspirational annual event helps to raise awareness and support those battling all types of cancer.

Sponsored by Operation Vet First, City of St. Cloud, Pink Heals St. Cloud and Neptune Chiropractic and Wellness, this event will have a kid zone, vendors, food trucks, and drawings. American Sign Language for Beginners will be held at the St. Cloud Library, Mondays from Oct. 16 to Nov. 6 from 6:307:30 p.m. Taught by a deaf instructor, students will learn to carry-on everyday conversation. Roll playing and games designed to teach basic signs which are used as tools. By the end of the session, students will learn the manual alphabet, numbers, introducing yourself, facial expressions, talking about family and more. Want to know the basics of vegetable gardening? UF/IAFS Extension Osceola County will present a class Monday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. Discover the advantage of growing vegetables in your own backyard.

Then, come back the following Monday, Oct. 23 to learn the basics of vegetable gardening in pots and how to do it successfully. Then, on the 30th, learn Maintenance, Care and Pest Control of vegetable gardens.

The Partin Ranch Corn Maze (5601 Canoe Creek Road, just south of the Wild Florida turn) in Keanansville is officially open for the season! Running Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 29, this Osceola fall staple features two mazes, a pumpkin patch, barrel train, ranch animals, combine harvester rides, fun games and activities, kiddie zip line, hayrides, corn cannon and plenty of fall photo ops. The fee is $15 for ages 3 and older.

The City of St. Cloud’s free movie in the park will be on Friday, Oct. 13. The Witches movie will be shown at sunset. Join in the fun, bring something to sit on and enjoy Friday the 13th at Hopkins Park.

 

The St. Cloud Women’s Club 8th Annual Craft Show and Fall Craft Bazaar, a scholarship fundraiser, will be Saturday, Oct. 21 at the St. Cloud Community Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free, open to the public event will also have food and 50/50 drawing.
