Applications for St. Cloud’s Community Support Program, is now open until 5 p.m. Aug. 31 (late applications will not be accepted). Applications must be submitted in OpenGov link (https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/stcloud/projects/52154) prior to the deadline. Applications that fail to include all required documents will not be accepted.

Non-profit, 501(c)3, Human Services Agencies may submit more than one application. For questions, call 407-957-7393 or email purchasing@stcloudfl.gov.

 

The St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce will present Women 2 Women Connection on Thursday, July 20 at noon at the St. Cloud Community Center. The guest speaker will be Lisa Bertossa, Broker/Owner of Keystone Residential Group.

Vendors are still needed. The fee for vendor tables is $40 for Chamber members, $50 for non-Chamber members. This is an opportunity to showcase your products and services. Vendor set-up is by 10 a.m. To be a vendor, call 407-593-9407. Admission is $15 for Chamber members and $25 for nonmembers. Ticket price includes lunch. The City of St. Cloud invites all to the grand opening of the renovated Cannery Park Building (901 Virginia Ave.) on Saturday, July 22 at 10 a.m. Renovations include updated bathrooms, a community space as well as a kitchen. There will be games and prizes.

Also on the 22nd, A Hero for Kids will hold a Super Hero Breakfast in support of the 2023 School Initiative at 10:30 a.m. at Longhorn Steakhouse (12315 Narcoossee Road Lake Nona). There will be hourly visits from Batman, raffles, prizes and other surprises. Funds raised will be used to purchase backpacks and school supplies that will be distributed to children and teachers.

Last year, a Hero for Kids distributed over 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies. The goal this year is 1,200. To register for the Super Hero Breakfast, go to https://superherobreakfast.eventbrite.com

 

Fall is coming – Monthly Market Vendor Applications are now open. Downtown St. Cloud Monthly Market takes place the last Wednesday of each month (with the exception of November and December). To apply to be a vendor, go to bit.ly/46DOMaZ.

Operation VetFirst will present “Because of the Brave Festival” on Saturday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Centennial Park, 1214 10th St. This local non-profit is looking to raise funds to assist veterans and first responders. This event will include a DJ, food trucks and children’s games. Sponsors and vendors are needed for this event. If interested, email info@operationvet firstfoundation.org.
