The Downtown St. Cloud Sidewalk Sale along 10th Street takes place this Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This day is dedicated to all end-of-season summer sales and clearance items from all the downtown shops.

While you’re there, shop, dine and support local downtown businesses for your chance to win a prize. Make any purchase by Aug. 31 and email a photo of your receipt to canoecsti@gmail.com. One grand prize winner will be announced at Canoe Creek Sports Tavern (2911 Canoe Creek Road) on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

 

A free car seat safety check will be held this Saturday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Cloud Police Department at Neptune and Old Canoe Creek. Car seats and booster seats provide life saving protection for infants and children. It’s important to choose the right one and install it correctly.

 

Stop by the St. Cloud Library on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and check out beautiful handmade items at The Kids Crafters Fair. Visit with local kid’s crafters and support by purchasing items.

 

Food, drinks and a good time are to be had at the Mid-Summer Potluck Party on Friday, Aug. 25 from 5-9 p.m. at the St. Cloud Civic Center, 3100 17th St. This event is for adults 21 and over. On Friday, Aug. 25 the Chris Lyle Aquatic Center will host a Homeschool Open House from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Admission is $4 for City residents and $5 for non-residents. Central Florida Animal Reserve’s (CFAR) “Cat Tails and Cocktails” will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 4-7 p.m. at Central Florida Animal Reserve, 500 Broussard Road. This evening features conservation education along with cocktails by the Whiskey Wagon, music and a special message by Dr. Simba Willtz, CEO of CFAR. The City of St. Cloud Parks and Recreation is looking to form a Teen Recreation Advisory Committee. This student run group will be committed to enhancing St. Cloud’s Parks and Recreation services to provide a variety of safe, fun and family friendly places to play.
