Start your July 4th weekend with a mural tour of historic St. Cloud on Saturday at 9 a.m. These tours are sponsored by the St. Cloud Woman’s Club Heritage Museum. The fee for the tour is $10 per person. The hourlong tour begins at the Heritage Museum, (1012 Massachusetts Ave.). Another tour is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23.

 

Happy Birthday USA! Celebrate America at St. Cloud’s 4th on the Lake, Tueday starting at 5 p.m. at the St. Cloud Lakefront. Enjoy live music by the Derek Mack Band, food trucks, a beer garden, car show, kid’s zone, local businesses and games with prizes. The fireworks show will begin at 9:15 p.m.

Join in on the fun at this annual 4th of July celebration.

 

The Friends of St. Cloud Library will host a book sale at the Veterans Memorial Library (810 E. 13th St.) on July 6 (18) p.m., July 7 from (2-7) p.m. and July 8 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) Children’s, teens and adult books will be available including DVD’s. Sale price for the books is $3 per bag (bring your own bag) or purchase a Friends bag for $2.

 

Up for a hike? The Florida Native Plant Society Pine Lily Chapter will hold a hike through the Lake Lizzie Preserve – South Loop (6495 Old Melbourne Hwy.) on Saturday, July 15 at 8 a.m. Look for native plants on this scenic trail. For more information, go to www.fnps-pinelily.event brite.com/.

 

Operation VetFirst will present “Because of the Brave Festival” on Saturday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Centennial Park (1214 10th St.). This local nonprofit is looking to raise funds to assist veterans and first responders. This event will include a DJ, food trucks and children’s games. Sponsors and vendors are needed for this event.
