There are many events and activities being held at the St. Cloud Civic Center.

Entrelazando Raices (Interwining Roots) will present a Community Fair on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sponsored by Single Moms of Central Florida and the City of St. Cloud, this free event looks to showcase unity in action, step by step empowering lives and making a positive difference in the community. Resources available (while supplies last) include haircuts, groceries, clothing and door prizes. Enjoy bingo, dominoes, other games, music, photo booth and culinary contest. Beginning Monday, Toddler Open Gym (Monday and Thursday) will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. This group is for ages 2 to 4 and the fee is $3 per child. This unguided play time will allow your child to explore the different set-ups in the gym with their adults in arms reach. Benefits include gross and fine motor skills, support early brain developing and enhances social skills.

The Stepping Out Walking Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. Benefits of the Walking Club are strength and balance exercises, low impact, lose weight and walk and run at your own pace. In addition to toning your muscles, you will increase your energy. For more information, call 407-957-7243. Homeschool recreation classes begin at the St. Cloud Civic Center on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Each class is $5 per child per class. P.E. classes are held Wednesdays and Fridays. Classes offered are for ages 5-9, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and ages 10-14, 121:30 p.m. Science classes are offered on Wednesdays for ages 10-14 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., ages 5- 6 – 12-1 p.m. and ages 7 to 9 – 12-1:30 p.m. Art classes meet on Friday for ages 10-14 – 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and ages 5-9 from 121:30 p.m.

Operation Nerf Battle happens on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the St. Cloud Civic Center. Bring your battle gear. The fee is $10 per person.
