A sunny Florida fall day gave Viva Osceola, the largest Hispanic Festival in Osceola County, the picture-perfect background to celebrate the rich tapestry of Hispanic music, culture, folklore and mouthwatering cuisine, and giving local businesses a chance to show off their wares at Lakefront Park. “Chamber of Commerce weather” — the Osceola Chamber is the sponsor — was welcome as the event was held just after Hurricane Ian last year.

“It’s great to bring it back this year as a celebration. We have a very large population of Hispanics here in Osceola County so it’s great to recognize that and celebrate that. What brings us together here in Kissimmee is community,” Chamber President John Newstreet said.

Local vendors and entertainers showcased authentic Latin food, music and dance from a rich tapestry of Hispanic cultures: Venezuelan, Columbian, Puerto Rican, Dominican and Mexican, finishing with a performance by renowned salsa artist Domingo Quinones to end the afternoon.
