Body

With Halloween falling on Tuesday this year, the festive events start on the weekend. Around town, there’s something for everyone, just about everywhere, for all ages.

Here’s a list of where to have fun — some scary, some not-so-much, with the girls and boys, ghouls and bats:

Friday

Boo on Broadway will be Friday from 6-9 p.m. all along Broadway in downtown Kissimmee, which will be closed to traffic. Children and families will take to downtown’s Broadway, closed to traffic for this event, and this year’s edition promises to be a fantastic celebration filled with live music, entertainment, candy from various downtown and local vendors, food & drink specials, games, and an expected attendance of over 10,000 enthusiastic participants.

Mick Farms, 4261 Canoe Creek Road, presents their Haunted Creek through Friday from 8-10 p.m. It’s a 2-part adventure – weave your way past acres of terrifying stalks filled with twists and turns with creepy things around each corner, your blood will be pumping. Saturday

The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) 8th Annual Trunk or Treat and Fall Fest from 6-10 p.m. at the Poinciana Activity Campus, 445 Marigold Ave. The Trunk or Treat event is designed for Poinciana children to enjoy a safe environment for trick or treating. The Haunted Asylum House will be at the Activity Campus starting at 6 p.m. $1 gains you entry.

Spooky Spectacular at the Poinciana Library from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Children can dress up in costume and be part of the library’s Halloween extravaganza.

The City of St. Cloud presents their Annual Trunk or Treat from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is a family friendly event at Hopkins Park, 620 E. 17th St.

Downtown St. Cloud presents Trick or Treat on from 4-7 p.m. This event is brought to you by the downtown businesses along New York Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue and 11th Street This is a family friendly free event. St. Cloud Main Street’s German Witches Dance Performance and Costume contest takes place at 8 p.m. at Phyre Steakhouse & Speakeasy. St. Cloud Community Church, 1717 13th St. presents the Not So Scary Spooky Spectacular from 6-9 p.m. There will be food, games and trick or treating.

Join the Kissimmee Woman’s Club for a Halloween ‘Trunk or Treat’ from 5-8 p.m. at its club at 1616 W. Oak Street (near the Oak Street Community Center). Aside from all the candy, prizes will be awarded for Best Costume and Best Decorated Trunk.

Sunday

Poinciana Christian Church, 3181 Pleasant Hill Road, will host a Trunk or Treat Carnival from 5-7 p.m. This free event features food, candy and fun.

Canoe Creek Christian Church, 4080 Pine Tree Drive, will have a Trunk or Treat event from 5-7 p.m. There will be food trucks onsite, games, candy and more.

Harmony Halloween Market at Harmony Town Square (7250 Harmony Square Drive) takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Parents can shop for fresh produce, baked goods, plants, candles and customized items. Kids get to trick or treat at each booth and make Halloween crafts. There will be a DJ, games and costume contest.

All Weekend

Partin Ranch Corn Maze, 5601 North Canoe Creek Road in Kenansville, runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This fall fun event features mazes, a pumpkin patch, barrel train, ranch animals, combine harvester rides, fun games and activities, kiddie zip line, hayrides, corn cannon and plenty of fall photo ops.

St. Cloud Parks and Recreation Department presents The Annual Trail of Terror on Friday and Saturday, from 8-11 p.m. at Peghorn Nature Park. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door or online at www.webtrac. stcloudfl.gov.

Hastings Ranch Farm Festival, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Enjoy hayrides, face painting, corn cannons, pony rides, pumpkin patch, gem mining, bounce house, barrel train and corn maze. There will also be vendors, food merchants and live music. Hastings Ranch is located at 1550 Dolphin Drive (off Pine Grove Road)

Monday

The City of St. Cloud presents Boo Bash from 10:30 a.m.to 12 noon at the St. Cloud Civic Center, 3001 17th St. Activities will include games, costumes, crafts and fun for children ages 2 to 4. Cost is $3 per child. For more information and to register, call 407-9577243

Tuesday

Living Water Fellowship, 4101 Pleasant Hill Rd., presents Trunk or Treat 6-8 p.m. This family event is for children up to 12 years old. Enjoy games, bounce houses, candy, trunk or treat, food trucks, giveaways and more.

Ongoing

The 2023 Halloween House at 922 Dartmouth Court (off north Marigold) is lit! This elaborate display of lights is synchronized to music with new songs including Poppy’s Playhouse and Five Nights at Freddy’s (music accessed at 99.7 FM on your car radio). This free event is presented by Poinciana resident Rob Gallo. The Halloween House is on display every night from 7:30-9:30 p.m. (fire, fog and other effects will be on weekends only).
