The Kissimmee Police Department has determined that a shooting it investigated Tuesday night was self-inflicted.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon in the area of Buenaventura Boulevard and Simpson Road, where KPD officers responded around 1:30 p.m. The investigation lasted into the late afternoon.

"We are currently investigating whether it was accidental or intentional," KPD spokesperson Samantha Scarp said Wednesday morning.

No other details have been released in the case.

That scene is not far from where the shooting deaths of three people at the Flower Place Apartments occurred on Nov., 16. Kissimmee man Kevin Torres was charged with three counts of murder, along with a host of other charges after being chased and caught in Orange County. His murder trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 28.
