Community Shred Day is an opportunity to clean out your old files and dispose of them safely. A Community Shred Day takes place at the St. Cloud Library on Saturday, April 27 at 10 a.m.

Gardening Series: Indoor Plants takes place at the Library on Monday, April 29 at 11 a.m. Presented by UF/ IFAS Extension Services, this session offers the basics about keeping indoor plants alive. Knowing the basics about soil, light, humidity, watering, transplanting, fertilizing and containers can help keep plants beautiful all year.

Rebuild Yourself is for youths ages 12-18 that allows the opportunity to connect with new friends, feel supported and have fun. This program is in partnership with Rebuild Yourself, Inc., a program that provides social and life skills for teens by exploring a different topic each week. This program is held every Monday from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

The Central Florida Business Networking Group meets on Tuesdays from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Library. Share ideas and opportunities about networking, marketing and more while receiving support from other businesses.

Bingo for Books takes place on Tuesday, April 30 from 6-7 p.m. Try your luck and win great books.

Beyond the Book: The Wild Robot by Peter Brown is a reading adventure that brings the book to life. This is in partnership with the One Book One Community initiative. Kids who attend will receive a free copy of the book. This event happens on Wednesday, May 1 at 4:30 p.m. and is for ages 6-11. Sign-up is required. The 2024 Florida State Championship BMX Series Final will be in St. Cloud April 26-27 at St. Cloud BMX, in Peghorn Park. The awards ceremony is on Sunday, April 28 at the Kissimmee Civic Center. For registration, race schedules and events, go to www.sunshinestatebmx.com.

 

It’s a Free For All! First United Methodist Church, 1000 Ohio Ave., is hosting this community give-away event on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. People are encouraged to bring gently used items that they no longer want and then take what others have brought that they could use. Everything will be free! Musical entertainment will be provided by The Good News Ambassadors.

 

Registration is now open for the City of St. Cloud’s Ron Riley Youth Basketball Summer League for ages 5-17. In person registration only at the St. Cloud Civic Center. The fee is $80 per child for residents and $90 per child for non-residents. The league is popular, so space is limited. For more information, call 407-957-7743.

 

Ahead of Mother’s Day, the City of St. Cloud presents Mom’s Night Out on Friday, May 3 from 7-10 p.m. at the Marina Banquet Hall. The cost is $15 per person.
