A 46-year-old Kissimmee man was killed Saturday night on Pleasant Hill Road after losing control of his motorcycle, Florida Highway Patrol reports.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. south of Harbor Road, the FHP crash report said. The motorcyclist was headed southbound on Pleasant Hill when he reportedly lost control of the Kawasaki Ninja, crossed into the median, struck a sign, then continued into oncoming northbound traffic. The bike then struck the left side of a Dodge Charger driven by a 65-year-old Kissimmee man. The impact caused the rider to fall off the cycle. Despite wearing a helmet, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report. The other driver was not injured and remained on scene.
The crash remains under investigation, the report states.
