A 19-year-old male was killed and another 20-year-old was seriously injured Friday night in a single-car crash on U.S. 441, Florida Highway Patrol has said.

According to the FHP crash report, at 8:40 p.m. a Ford F-250 driven by the 19-year-old from Kenansville was headed south near Williams Road, miles south of the Central Florida Animal Reserve and north of Canoe Creek Road, when for unknown reasons the truck ran off the roadway. The driver reportedly overcorrected and traveled off the roadway. The truck's right side collided with a tree. The driver was pronounced dead on scene, and the passenger, from St. Cloud, was airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne with serious injuries. No other details were provided, and the crash remains under investigation.
