Orlando City Communications — Orlando City B (4-4-6, 21 points) played to a 2-2 draw against Atlanta United II (3-6-3, 13 points) thanks to a Favian Loyola stoppage-time goal at Osceola County Stadium on Wednesday night. The Lions gained an extra point in the MLS Next Pro by winning the end-of-regulation shootout 5-3.

Forward Wilfredo Rivera made his return to the starting lineup after spending two games with the First Team and gave the Lions an early 1-0 in the 11th minute. Atlanta United 2 scored two late second-half goals to take the lead going into stoppage time. Second-half substitute Favian Loyola, however, scored his 10th career OCB goal in the last minutes of stoppage time to secure the draw for the Lions. Loyola has spent the last 20 days playing for Chile’s U-20 national team. Rivera picked up his third assist of the season on the equalizer.

Jhon Solís, Wilfredo Rivera, Colin Guske, Favian Loyola and Shak Mohammed were the goal scorers in the shootout. Goalkeeper Carlos Mercado made one save to secure the extra point.

The Lions next match will take place on Sunday when Carolina Core FC makes its second trip to Osceola County Stadium. That match will kick off at 7 p.m.

The rest of OCB’s home games, except for the Monday, Sept. 23 home finale against Chicago, will be played on Sundays. Go to orlandocitysc.com/ocb/schedule for a full list of games.
