Stark: We’ll sue to get back on the ballot

In response to Florida’s Division of Elections and Department of State’s stance that State Rep. Paula Stark did not properly qualify for the 2026 election ballot, the two-term Republican said Tuesday she plans on suing the state boards for the right to run for re-election.

MONDAY UPDATE: State Rep. Paula Stark issued a statement regarding her lack of qualifying to be on the ballot to run for a third term in the state House of Representatives.

The candidate qualifying period for candidates running in the 2026 election cycle closed Friday at noon, and the process has yielded seven contested elections for those who will serve in Kissimmee or St. Cloud.
