Florida Highway Patrol is completing its investigation of a deadly Tuesday morning crash on John Young Parkway south of Osceola Parkway. The road was closed with southbound traffic is being diverted onto Osceola, and northbound traffic should use Donegan or Carroll Street to use Orange Blossom Trail or Dyer Boulevard to go north.

The road re-opened around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

According to FHP, around 6:30 a.m., a 25-year-old Kissimmee man driving a Hyundai Veloster rear-ended a Mazda CX-30 north of Ball Park Road driven by a 17-year-old Kissimmee female. Following the impact, swerved to the left and entered the southbound lanes in the direct path of a southbound Ford F-250 driven by a 62-year-old Orlando man.

The Hyundai driver was transported to HCA Florida Osceola Hospital and pronounced deceased. The female driver was not transported and remained on-scene. The Orlando man was transported to HCA Hospital with minor injuries.

As of 9 a.m. the southbound lanes of JYP remain closed, and an outside northbound lane is open.
